However, as much as there are benefits that one is set to enjoy as a result of the daylight savings time, study suggests that DST hurts more than it will be beneficial to you.

The history of DST dates back to 1918 when it was introduced in the US with the aim to conserve energy. However, in modern times, a high number of Americans support the petition to end daylight savings time as they consider that the practice is not worth the hassle. When DST was used in WWI and WWII, the thought was that individuals would not have to wake up when it is dark, and this would mean that they would use less fuel. Even though DST was designed to help solve some issues and to conserve energy, scientific study shows that there are more problems associated with DST than the benefits. In modern times, more individuals feel that there is the need to stop DST. A 2012 survey indicated that only 45% of the Americans felt that DST was worth it, while more than 40% of the Americans considered daylight savings time worthless.
